Metrics. In discipleship. Yep, sometimes they are treated as a four-letter word. This is specially true in a setting like ours, where there is a high premium set upon relationships.

Even when making disciples among Hispanic Americans, I believe there is room for metrics; because of His faithfulness, there is a way to see the progress of His work among us.

Do I really believe that?


I’m not going lie to you: Making disciples among Hispanic Americans is a very demanding ministry. If you are serving in any culturally diverse setting, you know this first hand.

But also, we need to acknowledge that there are great benefits, for our own spiritual formation when, empowered by His Spirit, we step out of our culture for God’s glory, and for the benefit of others.
